The historic hilltop town of Avranches (on the corner just before you turn right into Brittany!) is ten minutes down the road. We are surrounded by old abbeys, châteaux and fortified towns. Every weekday in the local towns, there are markets selling local produce - fresh vegetables, fruit, cheeses, fish, etc. Our local Carrefour (large supermarket) is eight minutes away. And apart from our own menagerie of dogs, cats, Shetland ponies, ducks and chickens, at Champrépus (20 min's) - we have a wonderful wildlife park and ZOO!
The local quiet rural/coastal area is superb for walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing. For golfers we have the historic 27 hole links course at Granville (30 min's) or the picturesque lakeside parkland course at Vire (30 min's). About an hours drive to the north, we have the superb PGA Tour course at Omaha Beach and the same distance to the west is Dinard - home to the second course built in France (in 1888).
For the rather more adventurous - canoeing on the river Sée estuary (10 mins); go-karting at LeParc (10 mins); sailing at Granville (30 mins); ten pin bowling in Avranches (10 mins) and for the really adventurous - microlight flights from Avranches areodrome (20 mins) - see Photo Album.
